“The Sailo’s”
Taree Aquatic Club, or “The Sailo’s” as it is affectionately known by locals, is the Manning Valley’s premiere hospitality venue situated on the banks of the glorious Manning River in Taree. The Club’s bar and dining facilities feature a wonderful 180 degree vista of the river downstream towards Dumaresq Island and upstream towards the historic Martin Bridge.
As our name suggests our major activities centre on the river and we play host to sailing, powerboat racing, fishing and of course the sensational fireworks on New Years Eve as part of the Manning River Festival. All of these can be enjoyed from the comfort of the Club in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with an emphasis on excellent dining, service with a smile and value for money.
The Sailo’s has a wonderful and interesting history as a community oriented club so please click on the About Us link to learn about our history.

Our courtesy bus is available for members and their guests only for pick-ups and drop offs from the following times:
Saturday to Thursday – The bus will run on the hour from Sporties and on the half hour from Sailos.
Friday – the buses will run half hourly from both venues.
Transport available between both venues. Times may vary due to service demand. The driver will be responsible for route taken. Additional services may be offered for special events by appointment.

Dear Members and Guests,
It is with regret that we must inform you of a fire that occurred at Sailo’s on 24th August 2026. The facility has sustained significant damage, and we have made the decision to close the club until further notice, while we assess the extent of the damage and begin the recovery process.
We understand this is an inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during this difficult time. The safety of our members and staff is our priority, and we will not reopen until we are confident that the club is safe and fit for use.
We are actively working with our insurance representatives, contractors, and relevant authorities to understand the full scope of what has happened and to develop a clear recovery plan. We will provide you with regular updates as the situation develops.
In the meantime, if you have any immediate concerns - such as personal items left at the club on the night prior to the incident please contact Peter Hemingway by email manager@sailos.com.au and we will do our best to assist.
We will communicate further details regarding membership, upcoming events, and reopening timelines as soon as we have them. We are committed to getting the club back to full operation as quickly as possible.
At this time, we are thinking of our staff, caterers, board and you our members. We ask that you continue to patronise the "Sailos Group" by visiting our Sporties Taree premises on Cowper Street. Our lovely caterers from Sailos will continue to provide their services to you at our satellite club - Monday to Sunday both lunch and dinner.
We truly thank the first responders that were on site in a matter of minutes when the fire broke out.
Thank you for your loyalty and support.
Kind regards,
Peter Hemingway - Secretary Manager
